33Seconds with… Tatsu Ishikawa

What do you do at 33Seconds?

As part of the creative team, I create content for all of our different clients. My expertise lies in graphic design, photography, animation and videography, so I tend to be on call for extra things like headshots and live shoots.

What’s a normal day like for you?

A normal day for me focuses entirely on content creation. For each client, we schedule a content plan a few weeks ahead of their deadline, so following each plan from beginning to end basically determines my schedule, from coming up with ideas, to discussing with colleagues, then moving on to design using software like Photoshop and Illustrator.

What’s been your favourite project to date?

It’s hard to pick up just one, but I would say that making a short video for DS 3 Connected Chic was memorable for me.

What meme describes your life?

How did you get into animation?

I was always surrounded by friends who are working in the creative industries. Since they looked like they were always enjoying it, I decided I wanted to be a part of it too and took up animation. It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made!

Any other hobbies?

I like electronic music equipment such as synthesizers and stompboxes, so I’ll often go to shops to check out the latest products, then get surprised at how expensive those vintage models are, and then go on eBay just in case when I have time.
