With a brief to grow and enhance the positive profile of Barbados as a destination, encouraging increased tourism from the UK, 33Seconds joined forces with Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc (BTMI).
Our appointment coincided with a refreshed marketing focus for BTMI, as the organisation sought to move away from the everyday perception of sun, sea and sand, in order to differentiate Barbados from other competitive island destinations.
Heading up the PR & influencer relations activity, our scope of work ranges from organising media and influencer press trips; supporting trade shows and consumer travel events; working with travel and hotel partners to co-ordinate on-island PR activity; running a busy press office, developing proactive story angles for media and content creators, plus devising and implementing creative campaigns.
Since taking over the account, we’ve achieved a broad range of national media coverage in titles including Forbes, The Daily Mail and The Daily Telegraph.
As well as this, we’ve conducted multiple influencer and media trips, working with journalists from outlets such as Marie Claire, The Sunday Times and Luxury Lifestyle Magazine, and we have supported BTMI at a range of key travel trade and consumer events.
